Default error message

I try to open an application and I get the error I do not have a program
associated with that. I need to create an association folder. What do I do? I
also have a software application that I have been using for awhile but now I
cant seem to open and documents associated with the program.

Default RE: error message

The error message is activated for not having an application that will
open the file/folder/or program. The problem is caused by the format
of the program. How is it installed, what is it, what are you trying to
run, etc.???
i.e. If you are trying to open a PPS file but do not have PowerPoint installed
it will give you that error message. Filename.xxx (xxx is the format).
