Default Cancelling a Message

I find that when I cancel a message I've posted on a newsgroup, it
disappears from the group. However, the message is still visible
when viewing the newsgroup from another computer. How
does one completely cancel a message that they're written?

Thanks!
Scott

In general, you can't, unless you do it almost immediately after
posting. Newsgroup messages are quickly propagated to many
different servers all over the world. Even if you cancel a
message on the server you posted it to (and that's all you can
ever do), it will remain on lots of other servers, not to mention
places like Googlegroups.

I think you have to be quick. You must cancel before it propagates to the
other servers. It also helps to connect directly to the Microsoft NNTP
servers news.microsoft.com

At last report, you can't cancel a message on the MS servers.

Hi Tom,

You should be able to cancel your own, I know I have and JE has stated that
this function should work for those connecting directly through the msnews
server.
