IE behaving funny since upgrade

I recently upgraded to XP from 2000 on my laptop. It has a 1.6 Gig CPU
and 512 MEG RAM. XP is updated with SP2 and all patches etc since then (
I have updates on auto as they recommend). Just recently IE has started
behaving strangely. I often try to launch it and nothing seems to happen,
so I click again, still without effect. But if I look at the processes
running I see iexplore.exe is running, one instance for every time I have
tried to launch it. I close each of them and it still pulls the same
trick on me. It seems the only way to cure it is to reboot, and then it
seems to come right. I find the same issue can happen when I click on a
link in an email. I have never had this happen before. Can anyone please
offer a suggestion? Thanks heaps.

I don't think this behaving is funny.

Try System Restore in Windows XP
Start-Programs-Accessoris-System tools-System Restore

Restore your computer to a state 3 days before the problems started.

If it doesn't help,go to:

If the problem is still ON,
try repair install of Windows
It is done this way:
Start-Turn off and choose restart
then immediately insert the Windows XP CD and the OS will boot from the cd
Follow the instrctions carefully !!!

If you doubt you'll succeed in the repair,take your computer to a computer
store where IT specialists would help you !
