Default Windows Explorer option?

It used to be that, when I opened Windows Explorer, and clicked on a folder. the
number of files in that folder would show at the bottom of the screen.

I'm trying to bring that back, but can't find where and/or how to do this.

I have looked through the options at "Folder Options" under the "view" tab, and
looked through "Explorer" on "TweakUI" - can't find it.

Help? anyone?

Do you mean the status bar is missing?
If so, then use View-Status Bar
