Windows XP does not include Microsoft Word. You'll
need to visit a nearby store that sells computer software
and purchase Microsoft Word. Or you could purchase
Microsoft Works which includes Microsoft Word.

Word is commercial software for sale. It is not possible to legally download
it anywhere.

You can buy it by itself, as part of Microsoft Office, or least expensively,
as part of Microsoft Works Suite.

Advice: Don't.

Do this:
Download OpenOffice, its as powerful and intutive as Word, its
completely free and you can import/export Microsoft office documents
between OpenOffice and Office.

Do the right thing... ;-)

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.

You legitimately can't "download" Word, anywhere.

1) Go to store/shop that sells computer software.

2) Purchase either Microsoft Word, the Microsoft Works Suite, or the
Microsoft Office suite.

3) Return home.

4) Insert installation CD in PC's CD drive and follow the on-screen
prompts and instructions to install application and desired additional
features.

Some people may be confused since complete Works and trial Office are
included with many purchased pc's. My Toshiba came with the programs. I use
Works and retain Office for the read only feature.
