Default Control panel problem

I'm having a big problem using Control Panel.

Whenever I click on something in the control panel, I get a message that
Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. It happens
all the time, which makes doing anything with the control panel useless.
When I click on the message, it says something about ntdll.dll...

Any help, please?

Helen

Try this MS Knowledge Base article:

You receive an "Error occurred while Windows was working with the
Control Panel file" error message when you open Control Panel in
Windows XP SP2 -

Did what the knowledge base article said. It said to remove Visual IP
InSight from the list of programs. I don't have that on the list.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Helen
