It doesn't want to hide it from you, it wants to keep the casual user from
trying to mess with the system folder set and screwing up the installation. A measure of protecting the user from himself. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Ray" <ray@spamfreeworld.com> wrote in message news:C02bf.1493$c66.876@newsfe3-gui.ntli.net... > But why does Windows want to hide the internet history, temp and temp > internet files from me? > Paranoia? > > > "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE" <franksaunders@mvps.org> wrote in message > news:OTh25Qg4FHA.3976@TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... >> "Ray" <rocky@spamfreeworld.com> wrote in message >> news:tc1bf.3955$Cq4.770@newsfe7-gui.ntli.net >>> Why does my 'Local settings' folder keep defaulting to 'Hidden'.
