I'm sorry I didn't give you more information. I'm using Dell 4700 C, Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6.0. I have Norton AntiVirus 2005 installed on my computer and I run Live Updates regularly. I was viewing a lot of Non Viral threats. With the help of a Dell Technician, I installed Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta1. That program removed all the Non Viral Threats. Now, when I use Norton Antivirus to Scan My Computer, I view No threats found. It has been since I installed Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta1, that I view: When I turn on my computer, I view a screen: "Search The Web" medow "Malke" <notreally@invalid.com> wrote in message news:eXL4tIh4FHA.696@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > meadow wrote: > > > > > > > Search the Web > > > > When I turn on my computer, I view a screen: "Search The Web". > > > > What can I do to prevent this? > > > > You really haven't provided much information, but I'd guess your > computer has malware. Here are general malware removal steps: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/...moving_Malware If the steps look too complicated (and there is no shame in admitting that), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
