i just reinstalled windows and for some reason my ethernet controllers were not installed, so i am unable to conenct ot net via my ethernet connection, instead i am having to use a usb cable instead. how can i discover what drivers i need? and then how do i gte them?? -- BlueWolf |

To find out what hardware is in your machine, either look at the paperwork that came with the computer you bought or use a free system inventory program like Everest Home: http://www.lavalys.com/index.php?page=product&view=1 Then get drivers for your hardware. Never get drivers from Windows Update. Get them from: 1. The card mftr.'s website; OR 2. The motherboard mftr.'s website if hardware is onboard; OR 3. The OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM computer (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.). Read the installation instructions on the website where you get the drivers.
