Default family accounts

i have been trying to set up our family user accounts. Dad as admin. Mom and
5 Kids as limited. how can i give mom more control than kids but not as much
as dad. reason is they say not to use an admin account for general use.there
by mom needs access to files that the kids don't and the younger kids
different than the older ones. example 6 year old does not need internet
access.

No one should be running /as/ Administrator.

I suggest Mom and Dad both have User Accounts with Administrative
privileges.

sounds a bit odd to me that you want to restrict an adults, your wife's user
account to anything less that one with admin rights. "I give mom more
control than kids but not as much
> as dad. " Nice message you're sending to your wife and kids..that she's
> just a step up from them, but not quite up to your level.

''well, I was going to help, but I decided not to.

Perhaps dad wants to surf some sites he doesn't want mom to see.

Default RE: family accounts

perhapes dad is admin because they say not to use a admin for everyday use.
but mom has a limited so mom and dad can log on and off with out opening up
an admin account. but if everyone thinks that because one adult name is used
for admin and the other for daily use that something sneaky is going on. this
would not be the kind of help i was looking for anyway. WE (MOM and Dad) was
trying to protect our computer and our children.
