I just upgraded to xp over ME and cannot access system restore.

that is the error message I get with a pop up that says system restore has
encountered a problem and will now close.

Is this a normal problem that can be fixed or is system restore part of XP?

Hi,

I would suggest reinstalling System Restore. All existing restore points
will be deleted in the process.

the sr.inf file mentioned is not there nor do I have a service pack folder,
what now?
