You have to have the version the program is programmed in.

Um
You are not obliged to have to use the Catalyst Control Panel.. you should have the option to use the driver only.. -- Mike Hall MVP - Windows Shell/User "Umwhat" <me.somewhere@somewhere else.com> wrote in message news:B9C6F969-90BB-45E6-81AF-E7910C053540@microsoft.com... > o > haha > um , I'm buying a new graphics card , an AGP ATI Radeon R96PRO/XT and the > ATI Catalyst drivers for the the card require .Net Framework and the > download > link on the graphics card website leads to a download for .Net Framework > 1.0 > or 1.1 but says nothing about .NetFramework 2.0 anything . Well if the file the link in the webpage for the graphics card I am asking
the question for leads to the dotnetfx.exe Version 1.1 file dated the 3/30/2004 does this mean this is the version I should install , or is the link old . Or is the .NetFramework Version 2.0 actually Version 1.1 updated which would be the reason Shenan Stanley wrote to download and install Version 2.0 then install the latest Catalyst drivers from ATI for the Radeon card I'm enquiring about ? gee this is fun -- signature "David Candy" wrote: > You have to have the version the program is programmed in. > > -- > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Read David defending the concept of violence. > http://margokingston.typepad.com/har...e_ga.html#more > ================================================= > "Umwhat" <me.somewhere@somewhere else.com> wrote in message news:B9C6F969-90BB-45E6-81AF-E7910C053540@microsoft.com... > > o > > haha > > um , I'm buying a new graphics card , an AGP ATI Radeon R96PRO/XT and the > > ATI Catalyst drivers for the the card require .Net Framework and the download > > link on the graphics card website leads to a download for .Net Framework 1.0 > > or 1.1 but says nothing about .NetFramework 2.0 anything . There are very few references to a card labelled PRO/XT . The only titles
I have seen for the Radeon cards include a PRO or an XT card but not a PRO/XT card . o when I install the card I'm hoping to find out what I can about it and I'm also hoping the Catalyst Control Panel will tell me about the card . Also I have the ATI Tool 0.24 hoping it will tell me about the card . -- signature "Mike Hall (MS-MVP)" wrote: > Um > > You are not obliged to have to use the Catalyst Control Panel.. you should > have the option to use the driver only.. > > -- > Mike Hall > MVP - Windows Shell/User > > > "Umwhat" <me.somewhere@somewhere else.com> wrote in message > news:B9C6F969-90BB-45E6-81AF-E7910C053540@microsoft.com... > > o > > haha > > um , I'm buying a new graphics card , an AGP ATI Radeon R96PRO/XT and the > > ATI Catalyst drivers for the the card require .Net Framework and the > > download > > link on the graphics card website leads to a download for .Net Framework > > 1.0 > > or 1.1 but says nothing about .NetFramework 2.0 anything . I don't know why he said that. I don't know the program. Ver 2 , if released yet, is new so programs probably aren't written in it. 1.1 is the common one.

I've been told the card is likely to be an ATI 9600Pro card flashed to an XT
standards . It is new and it will have been manufactured by ATO to the XT standard because it is labelled R96PRO/XT . -- signature "Umwhat" wrote: > There are very few references to a card labelled PRO/XT .
