I am running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 & I am in the habit of emptying
my Temp. Internet Files every day or so & I can usually scroll for ages from top to bottom as there are that many files in the folder but I have noticed that over the last week there are nowhere near as many in there & I usually visit the same sites daily...I was wondering if someone could give me a reason why this has happened. |

Are you using any other cleaning program that may be disposing of the Temp
Internet Files? There are a number of them that will clean the Temp folder by default. Heirloom, old and clean mine regularly "Lesley" <Lesley@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8B7BB0D8-2F2F-4642-B45B-CBD2219965CE@microsoft.com... >I am running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 & I am in the habit of >emptying > my Temp. Check your Internet Options - Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Security section and see if the item to "Empty temporary internet files when browser is closed" option is selected. I always recommend having this option selected if you have a high speed (cable or DSL) Internet connection. Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C. Actually the 'empty temporary internet files on browser closedown' doesn't
work and hasn't worked for quite a few incarnations of Internet Explorer, so it is pointless checking this option. -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org The information in this post is supplied "as is".
