Default Reinstallimg windows xp

Windows XP Home is getting rather slow and I am consistently getting
"XXX has encountered an error and needs to close" on Explorer, Outlook
Express, Adobe etc so I think it is about time I did some thing.
The partition that that Windows is on is very small (5gb) and just about
full so I would like to reinstall on another partition (20gb) which is
virtually empty whilst keeping all my documents, pictures etc. I seem
to remember seeing a way of doing this on here fairly recently but have
been unable to find it. So, could someone kindly point me in the right
direction.
In case you are wondering why the partition with Windows on is so small,
well it should have been 15 gb.....but a slip of the finger!

Thanks,

Brian.
