I tried dragging and dropping a folder from one disk to another and the
folder has disappeared. Can I get it back? (The Help files say that dragging from one disk to another copies folders rather than moving them, so I shouldn't have 'lost' the folder). H |

Have you tried Start/Search/For Files or Folders/(Name of missing folder)?

Thanks - I finally found it - I forgot I'd assigned it as 'Hidden' - maybe
that's why it appeared to disappear. I've lost many files with XP pro that way. Not sure what causes it other than a slippery mouse button. > >"Reza Ghaffari .:: MSP ::." wrote: > >> You can always Use Ctrl+Z to undo the action. try to search for a file. >> Regards, >> >> "Milt" wrote: >> >> > Have you tried Start/Search/For Files or Folders/(Name of missing folder)? >> > >> > Milt >> > >> > "Gill" wrote: >> > >> > > I tried dragging and dropping a folder from one disk to another and the >> > > folder has disappeared.
