Hi
I have a new computer windows XP 32, There is not a sound card installed,
can I download one from somewere or do I have to have the I,T tectinition put
one in the computer, can someone advise me, I am new to using computers.I am

Eh?

It's nice - sorta - that Roxanne answered Heather.

If there is no PHYSICAL sound device (place to plug in speakers) - then
yes - you need to have someone install a sound card - or get an external
sound device (USB possibly.)

Otherwise - you likely just need to install the correct drivers from the
manufacturers web page for the make/model of your installed sound device so
that Windows XP can "speak to it in its own language" and thus - output
sounds.

A sound card is a physical piece of hardware. You can't download a sound
card any more than you could download a keyboard or a mouse.
