Default Folder Display - How to Retain

For most folders, I prefer the split screen, which displays the folder
contents in the right hand panel. I've set Folder Options so that this
applies to all folders.

But for a few folders, I prefer the single panel displaying only the
contents. I can toggle between the two formats by clicking the "folders"
icon on the "standard" toolbar.

Is there a way to ensure that the preferred single panel folders always open
that way?

PT, you were close to what you needed to do. Go back to "Folder Options", Go
to the "View" tab. In the "Advanced Settings" scroll down to "Remember each
folder's view settings". Make sure a check mark is placed in the adjacent
box.

It was checked. But after I arrange the folder to single panel and close
it, it reopens in the two panel display
