I feel so silly asking these questions and hope someone can help me. Even when looking over the answers of other questions I seem baffled by computer speak so please if you can speak as plainly to me as possible I would greatly appreciate it. Two questions- and some questions within those questions. My husband and I had the windows of our computer fairly large so it is easy to read- well somehow that has changed to smaller text. I have tried to change the resolution by right clicking on the desktop and it isn't going back to the way it was before. Also, the pages I am looking at on the net aren't the same- they are a smaller- more compact print. Also, my address bar- where I type in addresses has completely dissappeared. Wonder where it has went to.=) How can I make this come back. Thank you for taking time to answer these basic questions. I appreciate any and all help. -- kimbabheaven |

Hi,
Address Bar... If you can see any part of the Address Bar or the word Address try double-clicking it. In IE> View> Toolbars, Address Bar is checked, right? Then go to IE> View> Toolbars, uncheck "Lock the toolbars" Grab the vertical "handles" at the end of the various toolbars and move them around- up and down as well as side to side. Or go to http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFAQ.htm#IEToolbars Download and run this REG file to reset IE toolbars to default: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/reg/IEToolbar.reg [Close all browser windows and apply the REG script]" - - - Windows / text size... Try Internet Explorer> View> Text size. A shortcut to this setting is to hold down the Ctrl key while turning the mouse wheel. Accidental use of this shortcut may have changed text size. Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "kimbabheaven" <kimbabheaven.20jiat[at]pcbanter.net> wrote in message news:kimbabheaven.20jiat@pcbanter.net... > > I feel so silly asking these questions and hope someone can help me. > Even when looking over the answers of other questions I seem baffled by > computer speak so please if you can speak as plainly to me as possible I > would greatly appreciate it. > > Two questions- and some questions within those questions. > > My husband and I had the windows of our computer fairly large so it is > easy to read- well somehow that has changed to smaller text. Right click the a blank spot on the desktop and choose Properties | Settings. There is a screen resolution slider. Try moving it to the left. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup.
