I am trying to install XP from 98 and at after inputting the key# it says
that it cannot copy various files from E:\I386 to C:\Windows\setup\I386 .... it then tells me to contact microsoft support with an error code of 66DFF5CH. Anyone have ideas on what this could be and how to fix? Thanks! |

Did you boot from the CD to install? -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup. Do not send email http://www.fjsmjs.com Protect your PC http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/ |

I am trying to install it on a PIII-500 w/ 192MB of RAM. It has plenty of
disk space available (over 10GB). I still am having trouble. |

I tried to boot from the CD to install. It advised me that it could not
locate any version of Windows on my system. (Hard to believe since I am using it now and have the old product key in front of me!) |
