Default Numlock at Startup round two

Still looking for a good answer on Numlock at startup. I had a answer that
included a down-load however I was told by our Network Admin that is not
exceptable.

So question is how can I get the Numlock to stay on at startup. Thanks for
all of your great suggestions. SJW

just because the first answer didn't work doesn't mean you need to start a
new thread!!

How to Set the NUM LOCK State at Logon in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;314879

NumLock Key State Not Saved When Logging Off
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/123498/

Note: you may have to change both HKCU and HKLM keys.

Use find command in registry. Search for InitialKeyboardIndicators.
that way you will find all occurrences.
******Note: again, It may take an "Administrator" to edit the registry values>
InitialKeyboardIndicators REG_SZ Number
Default: 0

Specifies initial values for keys. 0 means that NUMLOCK is turned off after
the user logs on; 2 means NUMLOCK is turned on after the user logs on. This
value is set during log off or shutdown to preseve the state of the NUMLOCK
key at that time

Looks like you will have to exercise your finger and hit the Numlock button
after you start your computer.
