Setup mode at boot

Default Setup mode at boot

XP Pro w/SP2.
New in the past few days and I find nothing in KB.
When I boot up, I go automatically into Setup mode.

Windows setup? or BIOS setup?
did you remove windows cd from cd drive?

Please be more descriptive about what is happening. Are you saying you
are taken to the BIOS setup or an XP installation setup? Here is a link
that will show you what kind of information to include in a newsgroup

BIOS. windows cd not in drive.

This is a hardware problem, but probably easily solved by replacing your
motherboard battery (costs around $4usd). Try that and see if it solves
the issue. If not, then you should post in a hardware group or - if
your computer is an OEM machine (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.) - contact the
OEM's tech support.
