Are you saying you are taken to the BIOS setup or an XP installation setup? Here is a link that will show you what kind of information to include in a newsgroup post: http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" This is a hardware problem, but probably easily solved by replacing your motherboard battery (costs around $4usd). Try that and see if it solves the issue. If not, then you should post in a hardware group or - if your computer is an OEM machine (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.) - contact the OEM's tech support. Here is a list of all the MS newsgroups: http://aumha.org/nntp.htm If you decide to post in a group, go here first to see what kind of information to include so you get good answers: http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!"
