Default XP won't boot!!!

I use XP home edition. I tried to restart and now the computer has the blue
'Invent' screen with F1 for setup of F10 for system restore. I can't get to
either F1 or F10 or anywhere else. Can anyone HELP!!!

My 1st thought would be with the unit unplugged, reseat the cards inside and
try again.

Your computer bit the dust. (otherwise it broke)(burnt up or something
with the inside)(tower)

I can't get to either F1 or F10 or anywhere else.

you say there displayed on the screen.

the "F" keys don't work?

Thanks for your reply. In the meantime, I had contacted the computer
repairman I usually use to get his opinion and he basically said the same
thing - hard drive is dead.

Press the F lock button on the keyboard, then try the F keys again.

did your computer die as you were told or could you fix the problem.
i've got the same thing after update of napster,no desktop lovely blue
screen though
