I have a Windows XP PC. How can I see what programs are set up to
automatically run when I start my computer? |

That will show some of them (but you have to log in as an administrator first). The free Autoruns will show them all, and it runs in a limited or administrator account, and it's got a better interface IMHO: http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr...autoruns.shtml -- Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Tompkins County, New York, USA http://OakRoadSystems.com/ "Do I smell the revolting stench of self-esteem?" -- Jon Lovitz, in /The Producers/ (2005) |

I hadn't seen this before. It's certainly much more complete, but I actually think that it's *too* complete for the average user, and would do nothing but confuse him. I'll continue to recommend MSConfig, which comes with Windows, and will meet the needs of almost everyone. -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup |
