I have a DVDRW drive running Windows XP SP2. If I have a CD/dvd loaded when I
power up I am able to see the contents of the disk. If , however, I load the disk after the machine is up and running, the disk appears to be blank. It doesn't matter if it's a CD, DVD, writeable or not. I had a CDRW before and that's when it started. I thought it was the drive so I upgraded to a DVDRW but the problem remains the same. |

Xp will not allow me to do this. I get an error message: Cannot import
cdfix.reg The specified file is not a registry script. You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor. Hi,
You'll find the patch here, I suspect that you didn't create the file correctly: http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpcd.htm Under section 8 - Problems -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Don in New Mexico" <DoninNewMexico@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7A5478DF-BFAB-482E-B2D8-14550A8CB81C@microsoft.com... > Xp will not allow me to do this. He posts from the above host, which you can validate in the Usenet headers, since Microsoft deletes his posts from their servers due to his lack of ethics, his theft of others code, and his violations of their Usenet standards. PCBUTTS1 does not post help unless he can cut/paste it or pilfer it from another person, the fix he's posted is past of this Microsoft KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315345 -- spam999free@rrohio.com remove 999 in order to email me |

Do we have a BUTTS wannabe or did PCBUTTS get booted from his isp? He should be banned from the internet completely for his plagiarizing, forging posts and complete lack of integrity. I am amazed the JPL laboratories allows their name to be associated with such low life as PCBUTTS. If he can be this down and dirty it makes you wonder how much he is ripping off taxpayers on his real job. He seems to really enjoy getting over on people here and probably carries this into his offline life. Anyone that has nothing to hide does not pull the shenanigans PCBUTTS pulls. They don't hide behind a forged alias, they don't change the names of software developers and say they authored the software. Then when busted for the theft, they take their web site to password protected. BUTTS is playing a game and if you are a wannabe, there are much better role models to wannabe than BUTTS. Like O.J. everyone knew he was guilty, he won the game, but lost more than he won. No one wants to be OJ.
