-- At system log in, windows repeatedly trys to configure Sonic Update Manager, and continually requires me to "insert Sonic Update Manager disk". It also is looking for a file UM.MSI. This software was preloaded with my hardware. It is persistent and won't go away. Can you please help with a solution? Thanks. -- DaveK |

hi Dave
i am curious as to when this problem started, i have exactly the same problem which started about a week ago. the only way that i can stop it is to re-boot. as soon as i try to use any video file or video editing program it returns. sorry i don't have the solution but maybe it is reassuring that you are not alone with this problem. Sonic take note. -- seanpaul99 "DaveK" wrote: > > -- At system log in, windows repeatedly trys to configure Sonic Update > Manager, > and continually requires me to "insert Sonic Update Manager disk". started within a month of setting up my system...I'm thinking about
uninstalling the Sonic Update Manager....I don't think that affects use of Record Now; have you made DVDs successfully with Sonic? -- DaveK "seanpaul99" wrote: > hi Dave > i am curious as to when this problem started, i have exactly the same > problem which started about a week ago. the only way that i can stop it is to > re-boot. as soon as i try to use any video file or video editing program it > returns. sorry i don't have the solution but maybe it is reassuring that you > are not alone with this problem.
