I think I may have gotten a virus that corrupted the wifi drivers because my
Microsoft Wireless Adapter MN-720 no longer works. Instead of the blinking lights...now both lights are dim and constant. I checked device manager and I no longer have a wireless icon. At the bottom there's an exclamation point next to the MN-720 driver and MacPhyter PCI adapter-Packet Scheduler Miniport. I tried getting a USB WiFi antenna and the same exclamations came up. I can't figure out how to fix the drivers, being that I've erased and reloaded them several times with no luck. Is there a way to repair or wipe them away and reboot them? A number of other drivers were blown out too from the virus, but I have no need for them. And I don't think I have the virus anymore, unless that's what's causing this problem. I have spent hours on trying to fix this problem and I've had no luck. I am also not too familiar with computers, so that doesn't help either. Any help would be much appreciated... thanks, sonny |
