explorer security settings

can any kind newsreader help please I am new to the internet and computers I
think I have done something to my settings I use hot mail for my emails and
now cant access the web site it tells me to adjust my fire wall settings
there are some sites I cant get into due to the way my security is set how
do I set my security so I can access all sites.

Internet Eplorer->Tools->Internet Options->Security Choose either
Customize to set your own settings or Default to use the recomended
sttings.
