Default System restore peculiarities

Don't seem to have any control over system restore.

Dialog box shows it's monitoring my non-boot drive, and does not even list
the boot drive in the same window. There is no button shown for changing
which drive(s) I want SR to monitor. Trying to use the check box to turn
off SR does nothing.

What do I need to do to make things normal again?

Right click on your My computer icon on your Desktop and select
Properties, System Restore. Place the cursor on the drive, click on
Settings and check the box before "Turn off System Restore on this
drive" and return to the screen upon which Settings appears. When you
get to the Settings screen click on Apply and OK and exit. Finally run
Disk CleanUp to remove Temporary Internet Files and the Disk
Defragmenter on your C drive.

Please note the only drive System Restore should be monitoring is the
drive or partition containing you Windows operating system and this
normally the C drive.

Hope this helps.

There is no "settings" button showing up anywhere on the systems restore
screen. Also cannot highlight the drive that is being monitored which is my
non-boot drive. Boot drive not listed.

Hi,

Has there been a new hard drive added to the system or has a partition
been replaced with an image?

If so, the fix is to reinstall System Restore. All existing restore
points will be deleted in the process.

How to reinstall System Restore:

No new hard drives or partition replacements have been effected.

I'm certainly willing to try the SR reinstallation if you think that will
help my situation.
