Default Schedule Startup

Can I use the Task Scheduler to turn my computers on at a certain time? I had
to add a parameter to shutdown.exe to turn the computers off at the end of
the day but now I'd like to also add a task that turns them back on in the
mornings.

Can this be done?

Laurie

How can you turn on the PC if Windows is shutdown and not running? Task
Scheduler is a Windows program/utility that needs Windows to be running in
order for the scheduled task to run. When the PC is turned off, Windows is
not running.

You will need to look in the computer's BIOS system and check to see if there
is a section for turning on the PC at a scheduled time. Most BIOSes do not
seem to have this.
