I am having the same problem & have tried reboot, checked scedule, run chkdsk
/f, d . How do I "navigate" to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager. Does the computer have a single hard drive with a single partition or are there more than one? Please explain. -- Hope this helps. I do not know about partions ;-( ---- Defrag used to work so I even tried to
do a"go back retore" but computer said I could not retore to that date or any date for that matter. Havent tried this one as I dont know how to "navigate" to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager. I have been testing HD Tune. (freeware). Download and run it and see what it turns up. http://www.hdtune.com/ Select the Info tabs and place the cursor on C:\ under Drive letter and then double click the two page icon ( copy to Clipboard ) and copy into a further message. Select the Health tab and then double click the two page icon ( copy to Clipboard ) and copy into a further message. Enjoy. -- Hope this helps.
