windows stops and displays an error screen. the error message detail displayed
"win32k.sys" Does this mean that this file is corupt? Do I need to reinstall windows? ?? |

Try Start, Run, type "sfc /scannow" without quotes and hit Enter. I am fairly certain that there is more information on the Window than just the single word "win32k.sys". We need the *complete verbatim* text of the error message, exactly as it appears on the screen, including any error code and parameters as well as the module name(s).
