I assure you. This is not a simple problem. I am a seasoned tech. There
are no viruses, no spyware. My CPU is running like garbage. I cannot figure out why. I am thinking it is a driver issue or something but have no way to prove one way or the other. My CPU is simply not performing. Its not virtual memory, its not the ram, I don't have too many apps running. Everything I do says this is a hardware problem however I have replaced the CPU, motherboard and video card. still the same slow pc. What now? |

What now? Here is advice from one to another then.. Image it. Reinstall from scratch with all the latest drivers and patches integrated into the CD. Install nothing else and under no circumstances - touch the Internet. If the problem exists in that purest form for the machine - then you have narrowed down to hardware. If it works like you think it should - then it is something to do with the software you had on it. Image everything back and troubleshoot further. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |
