I have a Dell GX280 with windows XP service pack 1 and enabled hyperthreading
in the bios. If I look in device manager under processors I see two processors. When I look in task manager under performance I only see one instance for the processor. Would like to know if this is normal and is the OS taking using hyperthreading to its fullest? -- ray3d84 |

Hi,
In Task Manager - Performance tab, go to View - and enabled the option to show multiple graphs for multiple CPUs. For more information take a look at the following article. Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor - Integration Overview for Systems Based on the Pentium® 4 Processor http://www.intel.com/support/process...s-017371.htm#2 -- Regards, Bert Kinney MS-MVP Shell/User http://bertk.mvps.org ray3d84 wrote: > I have a Dell GX280 with windows XP service pack 1 and enabled > hyperthreading in the bios. Your suggestion to show multiple graphs for multiple CPUs is not an option
