Default .dmp files

I have a sh... load of files in my Norton recycling bin that are all MAP
files. They are all object.map and index.map. My computer "fried" a couple
of days ago and began dumping memory. Someone told me to do a search for all
..dmp files and to delete them. It was after this that I have these 1500 or
so MAP files in the Norton Protected Recycle Bin. Do you think I can delete
these files from the Recycle bin?

In addition to Dave's advice... If it's working just fine (give it a while)
then delete them? If you have plenty of disk space don't worry about it and
they'll be cycled out based on the limits applied to the recycle bin.
Personally I've pretty much given up on emptying it but I have enough disk
space to choke a horse so it's not a problem.
