the entry that you see in msconfig is most probably for a virus. try using
the antivir free edition antivirus and scan your entire computer using this. you can download this from www.free-av.com. tell me if this works. yogi "Peter" wrote: > I have been getting an Explorer User Prompt popup when I visit certain URLs > that will not go away and replicates quickly. While I appreciate the response, obviously it is a virus or trojan and is
not found by the myriad of AV adn other security programs I am already running. i know that you are already running a few of them and i dont mean to say any
of them are bad. But consider this: every antivirus program has its own method of scanning and "catching" these viruses. In my experience this particular one has been the most successful. So you may want to give it a try. You got nothing to lose there do you? BTW what is the prompt that you keep getting?? Best wishes yogi "Peter" wrote: > While I appreciate the response, obviously it is a virus or trojan and is > not found by the myriad of AV adn other security programs I am already > running. > "yogi" <yogi@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:1EDA2C03-8048-44CF-AA45-DBC2E11CE91C@microsoft.com... > > the entry that you see in msconfig is most probably for a virus. try using > > the antivir free edition antivirus and scan your entire computer using > > this. > > you can download this from www.free-av.com. tell me if this works. > > > > yogi > > > > "Peter" wrote: > > > >> I have been getting an Explorer User Prompt popup when I visit certain > >> URLs > >> that will not go away and replicates quickly.
