I backed up my settings using this wizard. The file type should be a DAT
file. When I click properties on the file is says TYPE of FILE: InterVideo Media file. I tried to rename it to USMT2IMG.DAT but that didn't change the file type. How do I change this so it is a DAT type of file? |

Robert J. Rando,
You do not need to do anything to change the extension. The extension is DAT but the reason why it shows "TYPE of FILE: InterVideo Media file" is because you have assigned this program to open this type of file by default. ~~~ yogi ~~~ "Robert J. However, this should not break the Backup wizard. See "How to Use Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=293118). |
