I installed a new hard drive and after the program moved the data from the
old to the new hard drive I noticed that Office 2003 wasn't quiet right. I tried to run the repair office 2003 installer and it gave the error below. Just about every thing I try to install gives me the same error. Please help. Thanks, dbctl Windows Installer patch files (.MSP files) from previously applied Office updates are missing from the \Windows\Installer hidden directory on your computer. MSP files are stored on your computer after update installation completes because they need to be referenced for future update operations. If the files are missing you will not be able to apply Office updates. You may also be unable to uninstall Office products as a result of the same problem. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services for assistance. |

Thank you very much. That seems to be the fix. I've been reinstalling
programs where as it wouldn't let me re/install these programs before. All I did was transfer one harddrive to a new harddrive using Seagate's program. What causes this to happen? Thanks for you're help. dbctl "TaurArian [MS-MVP]" wrote: > How to troubleshoot failures updating your Office installation from the Office Update Web site > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304498 > Method 7: Identify and correct corrupted Office installations > > -- > =========================== > TaurArian [MS-MVP] 2005-2006 > =========================== > > > "dbctl" <dbctl@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:B3865612-9CCD-46B8-9B85-2C164437A749@microsoft.com... > >I installed a new hard drive and after the program moved the data from the > > old to the new hard drive I noticed that Office 2003 wasn't quiet right. dbctl,
"What causes this to happen?" Exactly what it says "correct CORRUPTED OFFICE INSTALLATIONS". Causes for this to happen could be plenty including you using the seagate utility to move your data. ~~~ yogi ~~~ "dbctl" wrote: > Thank you very much. That seems to be the fix.
