My Taskbar keeps changing colour from bright blue to a dull grey or silver.
I would like it to stay blue. Can anyone help please?

In addition - are there any errors in the event viewer about the themes
service stopping MAYBE? That's about all I can think of that's not already
listed in the other responses.

Start
Run
Type "eventvwr.msc" without the quotes
Hit enter
Look under the System errors
