My computer is having problems with the location of the icons and the screen
resolution every time I boot up. The icons won;t save postition (they are always arranged vertically after restart) and my display settings always revert back to 800x600 after each restart. Could the solution to this be as simple as reloading the display adapter driver? |

Try this.
Right click the Desktop | Arrange Icons By | UNCheck: AutoArrange AutoArrange [[Arranges the icons in columns along the left side of your screen.]] Do you have the latest XP video drivers from the manufacturer's website? -- Hope this helps.
