I make DVD-movies all the time..I would say ROXIO is very good..I used the
Photo Story 3 for a Still Slide Show..its PAN&ZOOM feature is excellent..but I always "BURN" my DVD's in ROXIO DVD-Builder..the most important thing is compatibility..your DRIVE must be Compatible with your BLANK Disk..the DVD(dash)Disk is your Compatible disk for the Home DVD-player(and PC)..the DVD(plus)Disk is PC-only..and the new DVD-Dual Layer is a PLUS Disk only(so far)..Do Not Play a PLUS Disk on your DASH DVD-writer Drive..my experiance w/that was not very good..if your going to purchase Optical Drives I would recommend a (-+)Combo..Software is next..ROXIO is excellent I have found..NERO is complicated..but you get DOLBY-Digital(audio)..TDK makes the best Quality in DVD-blank Media..but I'm beginning to find that quality for less money..always DEFRAG-your Files..and even perform a Re-Start once in a while..I sometimes even RUN CHKDSK..before I BURN a Blank disk with a Video File..you can jump between Software Programs that accept the same File Extensions..but then you need to recognize where some "noise" might be being created along the way..avoiding the complications is the best way to enjoy making Digital Video movies..finding short-cuts takes time..your software must be registered and Updated to work properly. Hi Mark,
Thank you for your excellent reply. As a novice, I will be taking some time apply your suggestions with the help of a more experienced friend, Billy. I may have to call on you again for help but thank you for taking the time and trouble.
