Hi, I have been using Synctoy and I have come up with a question. Suppose I set up a sync folder pair between the harddisk and a USB drive. We can assume that the USB drive is connected to the computer using the first available drive letter (f: maybe). Now suppose the next time I connect the drive I have another USB device already connected and already using this drive letter. in this case the original USB drive is connected with an alternative letter (maybe G: ) When i sync again, it will try and copy everything to the wrong USB device because it relies on the drive letter rather than the media. So the question is, is there anyway of setting up this situation so that the drive letter does not matter. -- IC1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ IC1's Profile: http://www.msusenet.com/member.php?userid=5704 View this thread: http://www.msusenet.com/t-1871163360 |
