Two Items:
1.) SyncToy needs to have an Exclude file option similiar to the Include one. A.) I use SyncToy to synchronize our laptop users and would like to be able to exclude MPEG, WMV, AVI, and MOV files. (Our company has no business need for them.) 2.) I am going to push down SyncToy via GPO, but then I would love to have a way to programatically setup a particular type of Synch. An XML file that could be placed and then passed to SyncToy would be great. Even a registry profile for each Folder Pair would be okay. Right now I am looking at taking an existing copy of SyncToyDirPairs.bin modifying it for each user. It is binary and difficult to work with in VBScript, we'll see if it works out. ***Dream World Scenario*** Add the Exclude option, make each Directory Pair an XML file and then make the entire program scriptable for complete automation. ***End Dream World Scenario*** Thanks for listening, Black |
