I am unable to delete some images and photos from a folder on my computer. I
can view the images, but access is denied when I attempt to cut, delete, or rename the files. I see that this is common in XP, but several tools I have used have also been unable to access these files. Can I override this error? |

In addition to John's advice, you might want/need to take ownership in order to delete them if they were in an different account or from an earlier installation of the OS or the likes. John & Galen,
After restarting I was still denied the rights to alter the files. One of the tools GiiPo@moveonboot was also supposed to remove the files on reboot, but didn't. Before restrating in safe mode, I first tried taking ownership of the files as you suggested and the problem was resolved. Thank you! -Aaron "Galen" wrote: > In news:6C239F1D-703F-474D-98D5-B4C63C0679C3@microsoft.com, > ajk2 <ajk2@discussions.microsoft.com> had this to say: > > My reply is at the bottom of your sent message: > > > I am unable to delete some images and photos from a folder on my > > computer.
