when i open my pictures, i want to select a few pics to [send to ] and every
time i click on the picture it automatically sends a copy of that picture to
the bottom of my picture thumbnails i.e. the same picture say picture 20
will show up right next to picture 85 but the pic will read copy of picture
20 and so on do i need to fix my mouse so i dont click or what?

Just a matter of how you handle your mouse and Ctrl or Shift key.
Click on the first picture. Remove your finger from the mouse, move the
pointer down to the next pic you want. Hold the Ctrl or Shift key down and
now click on the pic.
Again remove your finger from the mouse before moving the pointer to the
next pic. What you are doing is dragging the first etc. file by holding your
finger on the mouse after clicking on the pics and this makes copies.
