One on the desktop and one on the start menu, they are different and I cannot

Hello Michael,
Right click on each of the My Pictures links and click Properties. What is the path that each is pointing to? It should be something like "C:\Documents and Settings\...". It's possible that the link on the desktop is just a link or folder named My Pictures and is not pointing to the special Windows folder named My Pictures. If that's the case, you'll need to copy all the pictures from one location to the other to get them back together. Let us know how that goes.
