Default WIndows slideshow with captions

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get the photographs' name shown
as a caption in a WIndows slide show? This would be so much easier
than having to sit with people and tell them "this is us at ..."!

To be honest, Phil the Windows slide show is about the worst way to show
photos to anybody and I would never use it. Why not get the free graphics
program FastStone (which is even easier than the free Picasa2 )and use that?
It is almost infinitely configurable, and will do what you want.

Get it from,

Interesting--I've found Microsoft's free Photo Story 3 quite useful.

The continuous, slow zooms and pans, coupled with the smooth dissolves
between pictures, is quite effective when coupled with a musical
background--and all for so little work!

If the slideshow program you are using does not support captions
directly, you can always add them to copies of the photos in a
photo editor.

Quite true Michael, I was only referring to the normal windows slide show,
which you have to admit is weak...Photo Story 3 especially when combined
with Movie maker is quite powerful. You have to have Win XP though and you
have to download it.

Hi, Phil,

Many software for combining digital photos and other images with sound,
video, music, text, and special effects to create animated slide shows,
screen savers or photo albums. Here I suggest checking out a program
called Wondershare Flash Slideshow Builder, pretty easy to use and has
some cool text effects.

Regards.
