I recently reinstalled Accessories a a few days ago after I accidentally
removed them when removing and reinstalling IE. I also reinstalled WinExp yesterday because of this and other problems I've been having all at once lately. Since I reinstalled AccessoriesI've been getting the following error whenever I open a BMP file: "Windows cannot find [filename].bmp. Make sure you have typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search." The file I want is actually open, but I can't stop the error message. The error box stays open until I close the BMP file. When Accessories are reinstalled, WinXP opens BMP files with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer as the default program. I had to configure it to make the MS Paint default program for BMP files. I've done this before with no problem. But now I keep getting the error message I mentioned above. Anyone have any idea how to fix this, or can you point me to an appropriate link or site? Thanks in advance. AJ1962f ----- Darwin''s Theory meets the Peter Principle: The process by which those risen to the level of their incompetence learn to build a better idiot. |
