Why did this happen? What to do Decide what program you want to use to open jpg or other picture files. Find a sample of a JPG file and right click on it ;go down to Open With , then go down to Choose program. Choose your favourite graphics prog and click on it. Then tick the box that says, Always use the selected program to, open this kind of file. After that you should be OK -- Quilly, Have a look at the new Anti-Spyware program CounterSpy I recommend it, it worked for me at, http://quilljar.users.btopenworld.com/ |

Why did this happen? What to do Well, at least XP is trying to use something. As for why it happened, the uninstall process did not change the file associations from paint shop to another image editor. There are at least four ways to fix you problem, and another poster has suggested the easiest way. Help & Support discusses three of the ways at length. The remaining way involves a change in the registry. Jim |
