I'm currently using Microsoft Digital Image Pro Suite 9, & I'm considering
buying the new 2006 Digital Suite. Here's my question I'd like to confirm
first with users of the 2006 Digital Suite: Does it offer the ability to
receive Microsoft updates? I ask because version 9 did not offer it, oddly
enough. Please confirm.

There is no option for updates.

There are some rebates available:

Microsoft Digital Image Starter Edition 2006
is a downloadable 60 day trial version with
much of the functionality of MS Digital Image
Suite 2006.

Once your 60 day trial period has ended, the
program will de-feature to minimal functionality.

Unlike the retail version...the trial does not
have the ability to create VCDs and does
not support RAW files.

You might want to consider some other programs as well. For instance, Paint
Shop Pro 9 is going for a bargan price at Best Buy, since version 10 (under
Corels name) is out. $29.95 was the last price I found at BB.
