The way I understand your question is your want print the SAME picture 4
times on a sheet of paper 8.5 x 11 in. If you want 4 pictures on 8.5 x 11 in paper, the size of each picture needs to be 3.5 x 5 in. Now, how to you get them there using the XP print wizard. You make 3 more copies of your picture. Open the folder and right click on the picture you want. Click on Copy on the opening menu. Then click on Edit on the top bar and click on Paste. This will add a copy of the picture in your folder. Suppose your picture has the following name: image.jpg When you Paste, the following file will be added: Copy of image.jpg Then, you right click on Copy of image.jpg and click on Copy and then click on Edit and Paste. You will now have the following in your folder: image.jpg Copy of image.jpg Copy of Copy of image.jpg. You right click on Copy of Copy of image.jpg and you click on Copy, then click on Edit and Paste. You will now have the following in your folder: image.jpg Copy of image.jpg Copy of Copy of image.jpg Copy of Copy of Copy of image.jpg You now have your four files, of the same image in your folder. You select these four files (highlight in blue the names of the files) and look at the menu on the left of the list of files and click on Print the selected pictures. The printing wizard will start. When you get to the Layout selection, scroll down and select 3.5 x 5. You should now get a printed page with the same photo printed 4 times at 3.5 x 5. THANKS VERY MUCH! ================================== You *do not* have to resize an image just to print 4 to a page. Open your image in Windows Explorer and right click it...from the menu...choose ....Print... This will open your Photo Printing Wizard. Choose...Next / Next... If you are using Photo Paper...open the... Printing Preferences drop window and choose...Photo Paper... Next... Scroll down and select: Wallet Prints... Number of times to use each picture? Enter...4....wait for the images to appear on the template. Click...Next...to begin printing. TIP: If important portions of your images are clipped due to the auto-cropping feature...you'll have to pre-crop the images to the correct aspect ratio in an image editing program. The following free program has a good crop tool: FastStone Image Viewer http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm -- John Inzer MS Picture It! You don't need more copies, the printing wizard will generate the necessary copies when you enter the number. -- John Inzer MS Picture It! Thanks for the replies; however, I failed to include a factor. I want each
picture to fit a small picture frame. Can I change the print size of each picture to 2.5 x 3.5 and then have multiple prints on one sheet of photo paper? Can this be done? Wallet size are too small. The pics are Christmas gifts for my sisters. Thanks a lot for helping me out! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "John Inzer" wrote: > Rosie in Mich wrote: > > I'm pretty frustrated because I want to fit 4 photos on a > > sheet of photo paper. However...if you stitch two together...you could print 4 3.5 x 5s and cut them in half. The freeware IrfanView can stitch two or more images into one. Download IrfanView 3.97 http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html (get the plug-ins too) How many different images are included in this project? Possibly you could e-mail them to me and I'll be happy to crop them to the correct size and join them so you can print 4 3.5 x 5s and yield 8 pictures.
